Steel Guitar
A Native to Louisiana, but a true Texas at heart. Robbie began his musical interest at the age of 5, following his dad and uncles who played as well. On his tenth birthday he was asked what instrument do you want to play, his reply was drums.
His dad quickly changed his mind and directed his interest to the Pedal Steel Guitar. Robbie worked in his Dad’s band the “Desperados” from 1973 to 1996, worked several club dates and recording sessions as well as dates with the Texas Troubadours and Johnny Bush.
He has also been a guest on several of the Steel Guitar shows all over the USA. Robbie played with the Heart Of Texas Band and the Texas Country Music Show in Kirbyville Tx up to 2000.
Robbie now tours with Gene Watson and has appeared on the Grand Ole Opry multiple times.
